Mary’s OHP Health Share CareOregon Therapist List (DRAFT)
OHP Health Share CareOregon Mental Health Providers/Therapists with appointments available soon (Draft):
I’m a Religious Trauma Coach (more about that here), and I live in Portland, Oregon USA. I grew up poor, and I believe that good mental health care should be accessible to everyone (including folks who are low-income), so I build and maintain this simple list of Oregon Mental Health providers who take OHP (Oregon Health Plan) Health Share CareOregon, and who have appointments available in the next few weeks.
If you live in the Portland Oregon area, in Multnomah/Clackamas/Washington county, and if your health insurance card says “Health Share”, then you almost certainly have “CareOregon” as your mental health care organization (check the bottom of your OHP Health Share card). All of the professionals on this page take Health Share CareOregon, and all of them have openings in the next few weeks.
I created this list because a lot of folks told me they had called several offices, looking for a therapist, but everyone was full (even those who said they were “accepting new clients”). They said that they got tired and give up. I don’t want people to give up! I keep in close contact with the therapists on this page. If their listing is still here, then they have told me within the last few weeks that they have openings in the near future. I remove them during times when their appointments are full.
If the “Mental Health & Substance” section at the bottom of your OHP Health Share card says “CareOregon”, then all of the folks on this page have appointments available for you! Scroll down and contact the one(s) you like.
Mental Health Professionals: If you take CareOregon and have openings within the next 3 weeks, and you’d like to be included on this list, please fill out my questionnaire here, and I’ll add you. We especially need prescribers and also folks who can provide appointments to discuss Gender Affirming Care letters.

About me and my work:
If you're navigating multiple struggles, living with intersecting identities, or carrying the weight of trauma, I am here for you. These things can feel heavy, consuming, and lonely. My approach is client-centered and multi-perspective, aiming to not just help you feel better today, but to make lasting change where you can feel at home in your own life. Together, we can work through the impacts of systemic oppression and help you feel supported and empowered.
I draw on lived experience and five years of peer and crisis support to inform my practice and connect authentically with clients. I blend professional approaches with insights from my lived identities and work with others, offering care that is empathetic and deeply personalized.
When life feels overwhelming, finding someone who truly understands and really cares can be challenging. My goal is to meet you where you are, offering a personalized approach tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.
My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:
Working with our community has been one of my major goals in becoming a therapist. I’m naturally well-versed in gender affirming care.
My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:
I enjoy working with neurodivergent clients, especially those with intersecting identities who often feel misunderstood by mental health systems.
My thoughts on working with unhoused or inadequately housed clients:
Im willing to be flexible for unhoused clients who are committed to receiving care.
My thoughts on culturally-specific care:
I can offer culturally specific care to the LGBTQIA+ community as well as the Latine community. I am not bilingual, but happy to Spanglish my way through sessions. For members of other communities, I offer culturally competent care in which I leave myself open to learn about and validate your experiences without stereotyping or bias.
My thoughts and expertise in other areas:
I feel confident in working with those who have a variety of disabilities, engage in a variety of relationship styles, and those who are actively experiencing addiction and suicidal ideation. Additionally I am a state domestic violence advocate and feel comfortable supporting those who are recovering from abuse.
Here are my thoughts on my own identities:
I live at the intersections of being a Latin, non-binary, pansexual, demisexual, chronically disabled, mad, single parenting person who is often white passing and has Indigenous roots.
