OHP Health Share CareOregon Mental Health Providers/Therapists with appointments available soon:

I’m Mary Clark, I’m a Queer Religious Trauma Coach (more about that here), and I live in Portland, Oregon USA. I grew up poor, and I believe that good mental health care should be accessible to everyone (including folks who are low-income), so I build and maintain this simple list of Oregon Mental Health providers/therapists who take OHP (Oregon Health Plan) Health Share CareOregon, and who have appointments available in the next few weeks.

If you live in the Portland Oregon area, in Multnomah/Clackamas/Washington county, and if your health insurance card says “Health Share” (not Trillium), then you almost certainly have “CareOregon” as your mental health care organization (check the bottom of your OHP card). All of the professionals on this page take OHP Health Share CareOregon, and all of them have openings in the next few weeks.

I created this list because a lot of folks told me they had called several offices, looking for a therapist, but everyone was full (even those who said they were “accepting new clients”). They said that they got tired and gave up. I don’t want people to give up! I keep in close contact with the therapists on this page. If their listing is still here, then they have told me within the last few weeks that they have openings in the near future. I remove them during times when their appointments are full.

If the “Mental Health & Substance” section at the bottom of your OHP card says “CareOregon”, then all of the folks on this page have appointments available for you! Scroll down and contact the one(s) you like.

Mental Health Professionals: If you take CareOregon and have openings within the next 3 weeks, and you’d like to be included on this list, please contact me, and I’ll add you. We especially need prescribers and also folks who can provide appointments to discuss Gender Affirming Care letters.

Therapists are not always listed alphabetically. I rearrange the list every few weeks, to try to give everyone visibility. —Mary

About me and my work:

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Portland State University. In my work as a therapist, I believe in centering you as the expert of your own experience. I value reciprocal feedback and I make an effort to approach the therapy process as a learner and collaborator. I strive to provide trauma-informed, anti-oppressive care that acknowledges how systems like capitalism, fatphobia, and white supremacy impact our well-being. My goal is to help the individuals that I work with to heal, cope, and thrive in spite of the oppressive conditions that we live under while also actively working to change those conditions at the structural level.

I might be a good fit for you if you’re looking for support with any of the following:

  • Disordered Eating / Body Image

  • Racial Identity

  • Queer Identity

  • Cultural Alienation/Isolation

  • Neurodivergence

  • Relationships

  • Burnout

That said, I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life and have experience supporting folks navigating a broad spectrum of challenges.

Prior to my journey as a mental health practitioner, I completed my undergraduate degree in Theatre Arts which cultivated an appreciation for storytelling, empathy, and the power of personal narratives. I also spent many years working in the tech sector as a people manager and customer success coach. Navigating the white/cishetero-dominated corporate and start-up worlds gave me a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals seeking to find their authentic selves and overcome barriers to personal growth and fulfillment.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

I identify as queer and cisgender and work primarily with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

I am neurodivergent myself and believe in providing accessible, adaptive, trauma-informed care to clients with with ADHD and autistic clients.

My thoughts on working with unhoused or inadequately housed clients:

I have experience working with folks that are unhoused or who are dealing with housing insecurity. If in-person or Zoom sessions are not accessible, clients have the option to call in to the zoom session from a phone.

My thoughts on culturally-specific care:

While I approach my work with a learner's mindset and am committed to continual growth, I do currently feel competent and capable of providing culturally responsive care to QTBIPOC individuals, folks in larger bodies, and neurodivergent folks.

Here are my thoughts on my own identities:

As a Black, mixed-race, queer, neurodivergent, cisgender woman, and as someone who grew up with most of my material needs met, figuring out how to leverage my various privileged identities while holding space for my marginalized, racialized existence is something that I am always exploring. I very much believe Maya Angelou’s assertion that no one of us can be free until everybody is free, and I approach this work doing what I can to help shift us towards that collective goal.

About me and my work:

The hardest part of the process is often taking the first step toward growth and healing; because of that, I am genuinely glad you are here. I approach therapy with warmth and curiosity and wholeheartedly believe that with the right tools, we all have the capacity to thrive. I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and perinatal populations who are looking to alleviate themselves of stress, anxiety, and daily depressors. I am currently accepting new clients ages 18+.

I use a person-centered approach, letting you guide our journey; but also bringing in cognitive-behavioral techniques to give you concrete take-aways to implement outside of the therapy room. We will focus on implementing small changes in approachable intervals to better serve your overall well-being.

I don’t believe there is a “one size fits all” approach when it comes to therapy. For that reason, I like to explore options with each client and adjust as needed. I can lead the sessions and challenge you, or I can be more of a listening ear and sounding board. We will discuss what works best for you.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

I am a cis-female with she/her pronouns. I am deeply allied with the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I will be available for documentation around gender-affirming care starting mid-February.

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

I am not neurodivergent myself, but do have comfort in working with and supporting neurodiverse clients. I would not say this is a specialty of mine, but have had success in helping clients navigate the beauty (and challenges) that come along with their neurodiversity.

My thoughts and expertise in other areas:

I specialize in supporting the perinatal population and am in the process of completing certification with Postpartum Support International (PSI).

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

  • Locations: Offers online (telehealth) sessions and in person at 1235 SE Division St, Ste 113, Portland

  • Types of therapy offered: Primarily, I view therapy through an existential humanistic lens. In essence, how can we walk together to figure out what makes your life worth living? Second, I am trained in EMDR and use it as a side-kick to existential therapy. It is helpful to have a tool to massage out the knots that are keeping you from moving fluidly through your relationships with yourself, others, and the world, and has been shows to reduce distress and trauma symptoms faster than traditional talk therapy. Last, I incorporate aspects of Internal Family Systems (IFS) when doing 'parts work' seems like an appropriate way to map your internal experience, and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) to guide relational work in twos, threes, and more.

About me and my work:

Hi there! My name is Sophia (she/her) and I offer telehealth and in-person (office and walk-and-talk) therapy in SE Portland. To me, our relationship is the most important part of the process. You need to feel safe, secure, and loved for who you are right now in order to become curious enough to make transformation possible. That doesn't mean that it will feel easy, it will be hard work! But I'll be with you every step of the way—the presence next to you cheering you on.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

About half of the clients I have had the gift of working with are LGBTQIA+. I am a cis-woman, and do not hold that lightly in the power that affords me in society and the therapy space. It is terrifying to trust anyone new with the most vulnerable parts of yourself, let alone someone whose role has historically been connected to oppressing and denying life-saving care. So, this practice is dedicated to providing therapy that is respectful to your unique flavors of queering, and doing what is within my scope to support you in becoming your full, vibrant self. In addition to letter-writing, this can look like identity and sexuality exploration, unpacking your coming-of-age experience, managing insidious trauma (due to systemic oppression), religious trauma, processing your current relationships that are less-than-affirming, and grief work for the loss of close relationships.

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

All neurotypes welcome and encouraged to blossom into their full brain-and-bodied selves! I have some experience working with folks who are self-diagnosed on the spectrum, and I’m neurodivergent, too (late-diagnosed ADHD), and am open about my own perks and challenges. My experience of being ADHD has informed my work on a profound level. Learning to creatively work with my brain and body has offered me a framework to work with neurodiverse communities from a strengths-based approach. Most of the people I have cared deeply about in my life have been neurodivergent in one form or another (OCD, Autism spectrum, ADHD, a variety of other forms like dyslexia, dyscalculia, auditory processing disorder, and so on), so bring your favorite fidget toys and wiggles (internal and external), your weighted blankets and yet-to-be-tidy thoughts, and let’s dissect your story on your terms.

My thoughts on working with unhoused or inadequately housed clients:

While I do not have experience working with unhoused people, we can explore how to best get you the care you need. If you are unable to make it to my office and do not have internet access, we can work together to find you access to technology and wifi in a secure location. If that fails, I may be able to help you find another therapist who is better able to meet your needs.

My thoughts on culturally-specific care:

Sex work: In addition to having some experience providing therapy to sex workers, some of my close relationships are with people who currently work in various forms of the sex industry. From these relationships, I have learned a lot about the distinct set of challenges and benefits of working in a societally-demonized trade, and that there is a huge lack of therapists who are aware of the nuances: it can be empowering AND disheartening, it can allow you freedom AND be a prison, it can be a choice AND out of need AND coerced, and some of these or none of these at the same time. Sex work is work, and just like any other job each person will have a different relationship to the role it plays in their life. Whether it is what you want to focus on in therapy or just another detail in your life, this aspect of your experience is welcome here.

Consensual non-monogamy: I use this as an umbrella term for anyone who queers their relationship orientation/structure: polyam, open, opening up, solo poly, RA, asymmetrical, commercially-nonmonogamous, monogamish, and so on. This may be the focus of therapy for you or maybe not. Whatever you are looking for, this is a space that is more concerned with the quality of your relationships beyond mere structure.

Kink: Whether you are wanting to incorporate more kink into your relationship(s), discover your own appetites, or are a seasoned vet that simply wants a therapist who won’t assume the worst, this is a space that will yum your yum.

My thoughts and expertise in other areas:

In a nutshell, I focus care on folks who are: LGBTQIA+, consensually non-monogamous, sex workers, neurodivergent, and kinky. Folks who do not share any of those identities are also welcome.

Here are my thoughts on my own identities:

I am a white, thin, currently able-bodied cis-woman whose first language is English and is currently middle class. These identities and statuses have afforded me an emulsion of unearned privilege due to multiple systems of oppression based in white supremacy. In therapy this means that I am constantly challenging how I engage with clients to level the playing field, and seek ways to leverage my privilege to advocate for clients, reduce barriers, and connect them to resources.

I identify as queer, find-the-spiritual-in-the-mundane, and my relationship orientation can be described as “relational autonomy” (i.e. relational ethics meets queer theory, ask me about it!). These identities have been developing over the past 11 years, wax and wane, and are informed by my ever-evolving attempts to decolonize my corner of the world.

I also grew up the oldest, middle, or youngest child (depending on the year) in a roller coaster of economic states in an undiagnosed neurodivergent, blended family that left the Mormon church right around the same time my birth parents divorced. What I’ve learned is that though my experiences are overtly dynamic, what is not unique to me is change. While change is inevitable for all of us, my identities and experiences have shaped how I approach life and therapy: we cannot avoid the tide, but we can learn to surf the wave.

  • Types of therapy offered: I provide Somatic work, Parts work/IFS, and attachment work all through a neurodivergent-affirming lens. Why? Well, deepening your mind-body connection is a huge part of being able to stay present for relationship dynamics that feel challenging. I engage in parts work as a non-pathologizing way to approach exploring your inner complexity and ambivalence/uncertainty. Attachment repair work is a quintessential part of creating consistently safe and loving adult relationships, so that's a major part of my work as well.

  • Do you prescribe medication? No.

  • Do you currently have appointments available for short-term therapy? No

  • Do you currently have appointments available for Gender Affirming Care letters? Yes

About me and my work:

I contain multitudes! I'm a white, fat, trans, invisibly disabled queerdo who works to undo white supremacy culture, yet went and got a Masters degree. I equally love musical theatre and WWII historical fiction. I grew up watching Scifi, and often wondered "How is it possible for the world to hold this much pain?"

There is so much of the human experience that fascinates me, and none more-so than how we choose, create, and maintain relationships. I believe that all of life's history and potential is in our physical bodies: we have our ancestor's inheritances (whether we want them or not) and we unfurl the possibilities future beings will inherit, as well. Seeing ourselves in this intergenerational lens is an essential part of how I work, and how I support my clients to understand themselves in their relationships today.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

I *only* treat LGBTQIA2S+ clients. Literally, straight folks have enough options.

My thoughts on working with unhoused folks:

Due to the nature of my telehealth services, I require clients to have private access to housing/protected spaces in order to furnish services.

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

My couples work is fairly pragmatic, and tends to work well with couples who are Neuro-Spicy. I treat a lot of folks in the CPTSD/AuDHD dynamic, sometimes labeled the Pursue-Withdraw dynamic. So many ways to conceptualize this! and I really love this work.

In contrast, my individual therapy is more experiential, wandering, explorative. I work a lot with active imagination, exploring the inner landscape (imagery, body sensations) and cultivation of psychospiritual wellbeing through mindfulness and body awareness.Over time I've noticed that different folks respond really differently to this kind of work; it may not be a fit for everyone’s counseling goals. If you are curious about this aspect of my style, we can try a short demo in the Consultation to see if it feels like a match.

My thoughts and expertise in other areas:

Sex workers, kinksters, polyam/ENM dynamics are all welcome. I support clients navigating changes in ability, body size, expression of desire, neurotype/unmasking, and much more.

Here are my thoughts on my own identities:

I share extensively on my website about my approaches and intersections, including: being HIV+; body-mind connection as a fat/disabled person; my approach to belonging/spiritual healing, and much more!

My approach to counseling is relational, meaning I will ask you to both notice how you relate to me in our sessions, and how you relate to your self and body. We will practice noticing physical sensations that arise in your body and make connections between our therapeutic relationship and how it might mirror other dynamics in your life.

About me and my work:

My approach is collaborative, warm, gently challenging and validating. I believe that we all have the innate ability to heal, grow, and break patterns, but sometimes we need support in gathering more tools to be able to do so.

I utilize tools from psychodynamic, emotion focused, somatic and attachment based lenses. My approach to counseling is relational, meaning I will ask you to both notice how you relate to me in our sessions, and how you relate to your self and body. We will practice noticing physical sensations that arise in your body and make connections between our therapeutic relationship and how it might mirror other dynamics in your life.

I work with clients who are suffering from anxiety and depression, who are experiencing PTSD or are looking to process and heal from trauma. I also work with individuals who are struggling with their self esteem and self image. Supporting young adults through life transitions is something that I have experience with and deeply enjoy! I also enjoy working with people exploring anti-oppressive relationship structures that are queer, polyamorous, or kink friendly. While therapy will not solve systemic oppression, it is a place that we can examine our role in systems and how they impact our lives. I am committed to continually exploring my place in oppressive systems and how my identities interact with those of my clients.

I try my best to make therapy accessible to everyone through offering sliding scale options for those paying out of pocket. Please contact me by email or phone to set up a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we might be a good fit.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

I love working with folks from the LGBTQUI2S+ community. Most of my clients are LBTG folks. I have experience writing letters for gender affirming care and am happy to do so for my clients!

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

Nuerodiversity is a huge spectrum, that encompasses so much! I work with a lot of people who fall on this spectrum. Most of us do not fit into the box that capitalism expects us to be able to function within, and leave so many of us struggling to function in the world.

My thoughts on working with unhoused or inadequately housed clients:

I am only offering telehealth appointments at this time and need folks to have access to a private space with wifi to participate in session.

My thoughts on culturally-specific care:

Love to work with disabled folks, I am HAES informed, supportive of people exploring anti-oppressive relationship structures that are queer, polyamorous, or kink friendly.

I use a psychodynamic orientation which means we use the therapeutic relationship itself to explore your patterns. I offer individual counseling for adults and teens 14+ & specialize in chronic illness/pain, disability, C-PTSD. I'm queer, bicultural, and take OHP. I believe in a holistic approach to mental health. Exploring physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing, our sessions focus on identifying strengths, engaging creativity, investigating your coping style, building resilience, and reducing stress thereby improving your overall quality of life.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

I would say that 80% of my clients hold LGBTQIA2S+ identities. I have provided gender affirming care letters for teens, educated family members on using correct pronouns, and support people to be who they want to be.

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

I’m neuro-spicy myself as are most of my clients, and verbal communication is often facilitated by movement.

My thoughts on working with unhoused or inadequately housed clients:

Due to my own illness, limitations, and self care needs I do not work with houseless populations.

My thoughts on culturally-specific care:

As a former performer and coach, I have experience helping people connect with their creativity.

I specialize in working with chronic pain/illness, disability, C-PTSD.

Here are my thoughts on my own identities:

I am queer, bi-cultural, and have dealt with a chronic illness my entire life. Prior to being a mental health counselor I was a dancer and performer. I am sex, kink, and poly-positive and hold a non-punitive, harm-reduction view on addiction. As the child of immigrants growing up in the midwest, I experienced marginalization, bullying, and micro-aggressions.

  • Are you a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community? No.

  • Do you currently have appointments available for ongoing therapy? Yes

  • Do you currently have appointments available for Gender Affirming letters? No

About me and my work:

My approach to therapy begins with meeting you where you are. My intention is to help you expand your own felt-sense of well-being, safety and personal agency through welcoming, working with, and integrating all of the different aspects of who you are. The core of my professional work and counselor identity comes from my personal history of unlearning patterns of systemic oppression. My approach to counseling has been shaped by a social justice worldview that acknowledges how power, privilege and systemic oppression influence and shape people and the world we live in. All are welcome here. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed, anti-racism, anti-oppression, culturally competent lens. I am Queer and Trans affirming, sex positive, and kink friendly.

I work primarily with 3 therapy models that I use interchangeably based on what you need.

(IFS): I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), a therapy model that is based on the idea that we all have parts and an organic self — these parts and self relate to each other like a family system inside of us. In IFS, we welcome all parts, attempt to learn how these parts have helped us adapt to the events in our lives, and work towards cultivating a relationship between our parts and our Selves. Using IFS in therapy means helping you become aware of your parts and how they shape your relationships both with yourself and others. I am level 1 IFS trained and am a 2022-2023 IFS Leadership Fellow.

(Somatic Experiencing): In Somatic Experiencing, the word “soma” means body, it is a model that helps us develop the experience of being in our bodies — embodied. Our bodies are the instruments through which we experience the world, living tools that carry and respond to memories, experiences, senses. Somatic Experiencing helps you fine-tune your own awareness of your body, and eventually expand your capacity for being with all of the feelings, sensations, parts of your body — getting in touch with the stories those parts carry. I draw from mindfulness and breath work practices to help you cultivate your own felt-sense of integration, safety and belonging.

(Process Work): Using Gestalt and Process work, we focus on your relationship with the present moment, moving towards acceptance of what is here, now. The act of accepting ourselves as we are creates the necessary environment for change, providing a deeper understanding for who we want to be. Any barriers to what is here, now, become grist for the mill — in this way, the focus is on the process versus the content of our experience. Using Process work in therapy shifts us away from traditional talk therapy in that the focus becomes less on what the story is, and more on the experience of how you tell it.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

I aim to work with people who have lived on the margins of mainstream society. Most of my clients are Queer, Trans people of color.

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

I currently have a number of different neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients. While I would by no means call myself an expert within this population, I do feel comfortable taking clients who identify as neurodiverse. I, myself do not identify as neurodiverse, which should be noted.

My thoughts and expertise in other areas:

I welcome clients who identify as fat, non-monogamous, sex workers, kink community members. I also welcome chronically ill clients. I provide culturally specific care for a variety of different clients.

Here are my thoughts on my own identities:

My name is Megan, I use she/her pronouns. I am a Korean born, trans-racially adopted, cisgender woman of color. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Portland State University where I focused my studies on socially just and equitable Counseling practices.

  • Types of therapy offered: I use primarily a Gestalt and process oriented approach, which means I am listening to your language and the meaning that you make out of life. Together, we help bring unconscious beliefs, patterns, and habitual thought to the forefront to examine. This gives individuals and couples an increased awareness and an opportunity to make great change.

  • Do you currently have appointments available for Gender Affirming letters? Yes

  • Do you currently have appointments available for Emotional Support Animal letters? No

About me and my work:

I specialize in working with clients who have big questions about life. Spiritual and existential quandaries welcome! I use a Gestalt and IFS framework that focuses on you becoming your own deepest resource. With couples I use this framework to peel back the layers of conflict to better understand each person's ground. The therapeutic goal is a stronger understanding of Self that brings a deeper connection to the experience of being alive.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

I am able to offer letters for gender affirming care, as well as therapy sessions to prepare for gender affirming surgeries or starting HRT.

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

I have worked with neurodivergent clients regularly since starting my practicum in graduate school in 2021. My approach to working with neurodivergent clients is to gain a deep understanding of their ways of communicating and making meaning. This is much the same as the process I would undertake working with non neurodivergent clients with the caveat that there are more systemic challenges affecting these clients.

My thoughts on culturally-specific care:

I offer culturally specific care to members of the LGBTQIA community. My lived experience as a trans and queer man inform my approach. I also practice from a stance that no two lived experiences are the same. Often having a culturally competent counselor actually opens doors to discussing challenges other than identity as it may be easier to attain understanding and a sense of safety.

My thoughts and expertise in other areas:

I have been practicing meditation for 9 years. I use mindfulness based approaches to work with issues like anxiety, existential dread, isolation, and depression. I also enjoy working with clients who have experienced difficulty or ostracization from spiritual or religious communities.

Here are my thoughts on my own identities:

I am a white queer transman. The majority of my clients are queer and trans. My framework for therapeutic encounters involves a lot of consideration of identity and power. I like to use somatic tools with a trauma informed lens. I am passionate about making body-based practices feel more accessible and safe for queer individuals in therapy.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

I have a lot of experience working along side the LGBTQIA2S+ community in my practice. I don't pretend to know about your experience in the world. I strive to learn about your experience without forming preconceived thoughts and ideas about who you are or what you have experienced.

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

Every person is valid and deserving of care simply because they are breathing. I work with anyone, and if I don't think I can be helpful I will help find someone who can.

My thoughts on working with unhoused or inadequately housed clients:

I have rules in my practice, but those are enforced with compassion and understanding that not everyone has the privilege to adhere to my practices. I recognize my own privilege and factor that into working with clients who were not born with the privileges I was.

My thoughts on culturally-specific care:

I don't claim to offer a specific treatment for culturally diverse. However, I am culturally aware and humble. Your experience in the world matters and will not be dismissed. Structural racism affects everything and everyone. This belief is taken into account when speaking with you, listening, writing treatment plans, and considering a diagnosis. I also am committed to holding other accountable to uphold cultural competency in this field and in my personal life.

My thoughts and expertise in other areas:

I am comfortable with any topic. Topics like sex, religion, money, and any other "taboo" topic are critical to address in my view. These are important aspects of being human and deserve space for discussion.

Everyone, no matter their orientation or worldview, deserves care. Your whole self is welcome with me.

About me and my work:

I believe psychotherapy is a project between two people where the goal is to make contact with conscious and unconscious sources of emotional pain. Psychotherapy circumscribes a space where what has been denied, unimagined, forgotten, or unspeakable can become imagined, spoken and felt. The process generates a reading of the self that is vastly more dynamic than what our lives often permit, leading to the easing of suffering and the creation of new possibilities.

Therapy is fundamentally an open space, an invitation. There is a freedom to it that takes courage and tolerance. It can involve a deconstructive or constructive momentum where you may not necessarily be told what to do or how to feel. I provide a space that is confidential, patient and curious to allow us to experience what comes to mind and what does not.

My personal belief is that all people should have access to long-term, deep psychotherapy. The origins of the field at one point lived up to this promise, and I believe that we should continue to honor this history by treating the psychotherapeutic relationship as a place where political, cultural and psychological strains can all converge and mix.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

I have years of experience working with the LGBTQIA2S+ community and am open to working with anyone who identifies in this way.

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

I do not possess any specialized training working with neurodivergent individuals, but I have years of experience working with individuals who identify as such and am open to working with anyone who identifies in this way.

About me and my work:

Hey, my name’s Reyah. Life sucks sometimes and that’s often when many of us contact a therapist. We’re looking for some help, whether that be with how to respond to stressful family dynamics, how to fight with our spouse less, or how to address really hard mental health stuff like panic attacks and depressive symptoms. I believe you have unique talents and abilities, and if there are parts of your life that aren’t working-then it’s because you haven’t gotten the right support. I enjoy supporting others and helping them learn practical mental health skills that can improve their day to day life.

I have experience supporting BIPOC populations, those experiencing suicidal thoughts and chronic anxiety, and those struggling to cultivate healthy romantic and platonic relationships amongst other challenges. I can support you in learning skills and tools to improve sleep, reduce anxiety, and better your friendships and romantic relationships.

If you're desiring more contentment and fulfillment in your day to day life, reach out for a complimentary 15 minute consultation to see if we may be a good fit.

My thoughts on working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks:

I have clinical experience providing documentation to support clients in accessing gender affirming care. I have lived and clinical experience relating to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I utilize she/her pronouns and am also adept at providing psychoeducational support to families seeking to purge internalized bigotry and be adequate allies/support persons for their loved ones in the queer community.

My thoughts on working with unhoused folks:

I have lived and clinical experience related to houselessness, and am very supportive of any way in which someone experiencing houselessness chooses to engage in their weekly or twice-weekly session (multiple phone changes in session, intermittent wifi access, etc). I also have several years of intensive case management and service coordination experience that I can integrate into my support at client's request to ensure they are able to move towards sustainability and a better quality of life.

My thoughts on working with neurodivergent/neurodiverse clients:

I have lived and clinical experience related to neurodiversity, and am comfortable integrating somatic and other approaches that clients may feel is helpful based on their own neurodiversity.

My thoughts and expertise in other areas:

The majority of my clinical work is in supporting high-conflict couples and families; but I also provide support to individuals experiencing religious trauma, DID, estrangement, perinatal challenges, and other diagnoses and factors.

Therapists are not always listed alphabetically. I rearrange the list every few weeks, to try to give everyone visibility. —Mary
